Question about lovefest parade/performances.

Stoked about the announcement of performers on the Spundae/skills float and being able to see all that talent representing.

Some questions for the lovefest veterans with what to expect on that saturday.

does the parade begin at 12pm with the floats going down Market street to the civic center at that time?

who is riding on the floats at noon? i would think that all the performers wouldnt be on the float at noon(Armin van Buuren, Above & Beyond, Kaskade, ATB, Dave Dresden Kyau & Albert, SOS, Donald Glaude, Colette etc) hanging out on the float at the same time seems far fetched.

How late does it go to?

looking like thursday at axwell will be my night to get  :eyespop:

while friday night kaskade will have to be more chill so i can function properly saturday and last all day.

thanks you guys

music is allowed to start at 11:30 at the staging ground on 2nd and it's when most floats will start jamming. the parade gets under way at 12 noon. i doubt the headliners will be on the float during the parade, but it's up to them individually. the festival ends at 8.

the best way (imo) is not to be particularly concerned with who is playing what float when, but just to wander around and naturally gravitate towards things you hear that you like, then if you don't like it anymore or feel like a change just go for a walk until you find something else. there's always a lot of music happening, it's not hard to find something to enjoy, and it's a lot more fun to "be here now" than wonder about what's going on somewhere else. also, be sure to drink water through the day, especially if you're also drinking alcohol, or you'll end up dehydrated and ready to pass out before the night parties start.

Here's a good alternative for Friday night:

DirtyBird Records label party!

I got this email reply from Christian Martin:

Hey Steve,

We will be throwing a massive dirtybird party at Mezzanine on October 3, then we’ll all be playing on the Mobile Master List float on the 4th, then it looks like Justin and I will be playing at an afterparty that Saturday night, most likely at Cell Space (www.cellspace.org).

Cheers!

Christian
