I know the midi out obviously goes from the djm-800 to the midi in on the soundcard but how do i route the signal back from ableton to my mixer? I'm just using ableton for effects rest of the mixing will be done with my mixer and tables. Haven't been able to figure this out!

Do I just need a Y RCA and run that from my comp to an open channel on the mixer and then just put that channel to through?

Sorry real confused here and wanna get this hooked up so I can record a set!
i got big pants
audio outputs from soundcard to channels in mixer i would assume

My issue is im still going to be using my decks and mixer and running everything through them. I know how to hook up ableton if im going to run everything through it but Im not sure if thats what needs to be done if im just using ableton for fx and routing them to the 800?

Still confused!

your red, whites go into the red, whites where the cdjs would go in teh mixer

channel 1 on mixer - 1,2 from soundcard
chanel 2 on mixer - 3, 4 from soundcard

ETC

simple!!!

Got that working now how would I go about setting up ableton to be able to record my incoming signal from the mixer? Aka recording my set?

on the back connect the red/white to the REC and then the other red/whites either into ur soundcard via quarter inch (if u have a bomb soundcard) or line on the soundcard or even mic (u will probably need a splitter thing in that case)
