Melodyne sample replace
kitphillips
Does anyone know how to replace a sample in melodyne while leaving the edits you've made? I don't want to have to go through and redo all the notes that I fixed in melodyne because it took hours...

My problem is, that I had this great vocal, and had finished the track but then when I tried to throw it in an ableton DJ set, the vocals sounded like they were vocoded, or otherwise robotised. I think this is because I left ableton's elastik audio engine set to tones when it got recorded into melodyne so its got two layers of time/pitch manipulation, Ableton's and then the melodyne one.

So I want to export the vocals without any timestretch (so set to repitch mode) and then just reimport that sample back into melodyne.
I'm hoping that some people here actually use melodyne....

I literally just started using it 2 days ago so I can't tell you but I do love the program for what it does with vocals.
What I'd recommend is going to Celemonys forum, register real quick and just ask there.
If noone here knows.

did you use melodyne as a standalone or the vst plug?
kitphillips
I'm using the VST version of melodyne studio 3.
