Playstation Network Issues

daydreamer
i've been setup for a bit over 6 months now, and recently about a month now, i keep having issues logging on. like every other week, it will not let me log on for the life of me. I NEED MY DOSE!!!!
i'm not an addict, i swear...

i keep thinking maybe its my network, because the internet has been going slow as well, takes forever to d/l . so what i do is log on to my neighbors network, teehee and browse the net through their network.

anyways, a Comcast (my internet/cable TV provider) rep is supposed to be coming tomorrow to check out.

i mean if it was my network, it would still be able to log on, right?
slow but i should still be on. anyone else having issues?

I have problems logging on when I have a slow network with comcast sometimes as well.

More than likely it is your internet, but it could also be your router. I have read about people having issues after some of the firmware updates to the PS3. These were mostly remedied by making sure your router has the most recent drivers and software, etc.

I usually can find answers here -> http://boardsus.playstation.com/pla...rd.id=psnetwork

those putos never came, and fecking waited all day :stongue:
i swear things were better when we had Time Warner, never any issues.

what i've been doing is disconnecting it, and reconnecting the damn router. and sometimes it will come back to life, long enough for me log on. but it's still not as good as it was.
i'll be dodging bullet and , and then out of nowhere i'll be fragged. i call shenanigans there.

my friend told me something about port forwarding....?
cause even when i d/l torrents, it's kind of slow. most of the times less than 50kbs. Feck i should be at +500kbs, right?

i have a linksys wireless g router, wrt54g

feck this is pissing me off.

PSN is slow as sin, that's a fact of life. I have a great connection but still get crappy speeds on there. I usually don't have problems staying logged in though, might want to check for a firmware update for your router, I know that fixed psn issues for a friend of mine.

I never have problems when I'm playing games online, but browsing and downloading from the store is pitifully slow. Live absolutely destroys it.

Could be a form of traffic shaping by your isp. Was for me so I switched and now it works every time.

Used to get binned of at peak times, then be fine off peak.
