In reality, however, would we maybe do better to consider just listing something like "PC/X360/PS3/Wii", as opposed to titles that will come and go over time?

what about just PC/Console/Handheld/Retro?
plus if you list the 360 before the PS3 you are a stupid ! jerk!
because if you use any descriptions for games or consoles they will be outdated in a couple of years anyways| |

Indeed, I was just basing the suggestion on the fact that consoles/platforms traditionally have a longer shelf life than games do.
