Younger Brother was formed in 2003 by Simon Posford and Benji Vaughan. Their particular genre of music is difficult to accurately classify as it suggests many different forms of electronic music without subscribing to a specific style. The debut album, A Flock of Bleeps, released on the Twisted Records record label has taken on cult status in underground electronica scenes around the world; with the duo drawing crowds from across the globe. Their second album, titled "The Last Days of Gravity" was released on October 15th, 2007. The artwork for the album is made by the legendary Storm Thorgerson (whose work has graced albums by Pink Floyd, Alan Parsons, and Led Zeppelin, among many others).

Shpongle (pronounced /ˈʃpɒŋɡəl/) is a psychedelic downtempo or Psybient music project. The members are Simon Posford (aka Hallucinogen) and Raja Ram (one third of The Infinity Project). Their sound has sampled eastern ethnic instruments and western contemporary synthesizer-based psychedelic music. Posford is responsible for the synth and studio work while Raja Ram contributes with flute arrangements.
The name "Shpongle" is not an English word, in fact no language has a definition. Rumor has it that Raja Ram was at a party one night and someone asked him how he was feeling. He replied "I feel...Shpongled.". He didn't even know where it came from it was just there.
Shpongle's first track, Vapour Rumours, was released on TIP Records' Infinite Excursions compilation in 1996. Their debut album, Are You Shpongled?, was released 1998 on Twisted Records. Are You Shpongled? and Twisted Records' first downtempo compilation, ...and the Day Turned to Night, were influential in the then-small psychedelic downtempo genre.
On January 23, 2007 Twisted Records announced that a fourth Shpongle album is in the works, to be released in early 2009.

Oh i def will be there just sucks he doesnt tour heavily under hallucinogen as well with this tour. I doubt he will play some of his tracks under hallucinogen when doing a shpongle set. Both are great and not to be missed, but he has some insane tracks under the name hallucinogen. Try to get him to play a cross set between both release names.

if these are the 'rock bands' 1015 was talking about booking on friday nights a few months back, then i say bring it on :stongue:
R!CH
well 1015 has been bringing in shpongle/hallucinogen live acts to town well before whoever's bright idea it was to become a 'rock concert venue'. so whatever success this event brings, don't credit it to him...
