Atlanta Breast Cancer 3-Day

exposureshow

Hey all, my girlfriend is participating in the Atlanta Breast Cancer 3-Day. Together with her team and thousands of other people, they will be walking a total of 60 miles in 3 days to raise funds and awareness for breast cancer research. Below are a few more details about this walk and below that is a direct link to donate through her and her team. She does not see any portion of the donations personally, they all go directly to the 3-Day organization.

------------------

Battling breast cancer is hard work. Hard work to overcome it, for the people affected. Hard work to treat it, for doctors and other healthcare professionals. And hard work to find the causes and cures, for breast cancer researchers. That's why we walk so far on the Breast Cancer 3-Day. To honor the fact that, while a world without breast cancer is possible, getting there requires hard work.

At 60 miles, the Breast Cancer 3-Day is the longest walk of its kind. For many first-time walkers, it's the biggest physical undertaking they've ever attempted.

Those who walk for the first time are often amazed at their physical stamina. Many have never undertaken such a challenge. But they are even more amazed at the money they are able to raise. Though the fundraising minimum is $2200, the average amount raised per walker is actually $3000! It's just what happens when you bring passion and commitment to such an important endeavor.

Every day, we're moving closer to ending breast cancer forever. But we need your help. Your endurance. Your mettle. Your power to inspire others. We need you to work hard - harder, maybe, than you've ever worked before and step up to the challenge.

Please support me as I take an amazing journey in the fight against breast cancer! The Breast Cancer 3-Day is a 60-mile walk over the course of three days. Net proceeds benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure and National Philanthropic Trust, funding important breast cancer research, education, screening, and treatment.
