When you listen to music, do you tend to give it your full attention?
Or do you normally listen to it somewhat distractedly, while doing other stuff? |

Like that, unfortunately. Sometimes I realise I've listened to something and don't know any details or how it sounds, so I have to listen to it all over again. |

| I don't have time to give it my full attention, so I mostly listen to it while surfing or doing other stuff on my computer |

At university I don't get much dedicated listening time, so I mainly play stuff while working or on my laptop.
At home, my main listening time is while walking the dog. There I can give it nearly my complete attention, although the dog always manages to find some trouble during an interesting bit. |

EDM or ambient music = in the background
rock/jazz/blues/everything else = full attention |

My job allows me to listen to music constantly if I so wish. I also often go for walks and just zone out to whatever I'm listening to, wandering aimlessly in no particular direction. And since I commute on the bus, there's plenty of time there to chill and listen to music (when I'm not dozing anyway). And surprisingly enough, I'll even listen to music at home and at clubs, although depending on what else is going on in those environments will usually affect what kind of attention I'm paying it.
In fact, since I also review music, I tend to have two different listening habits: critical and casual. It's quite interesting how my perspectives on music can change depending on the focus I give it.
Oh, and most of this is done on Sennheiser headphones. Only the best for my earholes! |

| I usually listen to music whilst browsing the Intarweb, and subsequently it doesn't always receive my full attention despite the usually outrageous volume. Fortunately all of my music is also stored on my iPod, which is easier to listen to properly but isn't usually loud enough for my liking! |

| Most of the time i just listen to it as background music while im browsing on the comp, doing exercise, cleaning my room cooking whatever... sometimes if i'm tired and just want to chill and relax lay back then the music gets my full attention. Also when I'm driving i probably pay more attention to the music then the actual road which probably isn't safe for those around me :P Though in the car is proably when i enjoy my music most |
