Usually what happens is the crowd recognizes the track as its being cued in, you get the wooos and the cheers, then silence, then the break comes and more cheers and woos, then silence, then the anticipation for the climax which proceeds with more whoos and then silence until the next track :) |
he'd know somewhat in advance about what set the crowd is going to be into from the type of event and whoever else is playing before him, but he'd still have to read the room to a degree, and though he may know the key tracks that he wants to play, how he constructs the whole set is a different matter. it's pre-planning as opposed to programming, not like oakenfold: my 90 minute set list =.......... |
