לא מצאתי את הציטוט שגם אינפקטד אמרו שהמוזיקה שלהם היא "כרטיס ביקור" ושהם עושים את הכסף מהופעות בלבד.
ואכן היו טראקים של אסטרל בתקופת ה-32-56קיי, למעשה אלה היו בין הקבצים הראשונים שהיו לי (למרות שאני לא כזה חולה עליהם).
ומפיק שינסה לעשות כסף או להתפרנס מעשיית מוזיקה אלקטרונית איכותית דיי חי בסרט ואני לא חושב שנראה את זה איי פעם ומהרבה סיבות שבינהם: העובדה שהאיכות לא נמצא במיינסטרים,החלוקה בכסף עם הלייבלים והאתרים,העובדה שגם ככה הקהל הוא פיצפון יחסית לרוק או לפופ למשל ועוד ועוד.
ובנוסף יש הטוענים שאמנים מבצעים הכי טוב כאשר הם למטה ומתים כל הזמן לחדש ולפרוץ קדימה ולא כשהם יושבים על חבילות כסף זחוחים (תראה את פרי,ארמין וטיאסטו). |

They are still fabulous and motivated, even if they'll make tons...That's one of the issues that differentiates between them and over-the-hill rockstars/pop-icons etc. (at least, partially...they're still human beings with (excessive) pride/status now and then)..;) |

nay, Ferry needs to get the out of his electro phase FAST, it stinks up his all career,it was fun for a while but we all miss our old Moonman already!.
Armin needs to get out of the "big room music" stage as well.
and Tiesto?? i used to love him as a producer (Kamaya Painters:tongue3) but now i find it very hard to rate his tracks as 'good'.
From some reason i find it tough to be too hard on Armin, i still respect him because of the Shivers album i guess, that album was on the good side of 'Brave' for me. |

I can agree and understand you with regards to AvB: he's still quite close to your hart like many real trance lovers; about the 'big room' I disagree, but my support for him borders towards unconditional considering his mind-blowing, week-in week-out ASOT performances and his live DJ-ing.
Tiesto: the discussion is old and known, don't wanna chew the cud all over, I just disagree...
But regarding FC I think you and many other "old-timer fanatics" disregard one crucial thing: whether you like his productions, even them, and DEFINATELY his radioshow and EVEN MORE SO his DJ'ing (TE for example) still have that old touch and it is slowly regaining vigor and attention, mark my words...:tongue3 |

לכל תופעה שכזו יש גם תופעות לוואי במיוחד לז'אנרים שהם לא מיינסטרימיים במהותם...אחת מתופעות הלוואי לדעתי היא חוסר ההיכרות של אנשים חדשים עם ההסטוריה המוזיקלית אפילו הקרובה של המוזיקה לה הם מאזינים. אולי זה לא נפוץ עם אנשים שהחלו לשמוע מוזיקה ב-98-99 אבל אני די בטוח שמשנכנס לתחום ב-2003 והלאה לא ממש יידע על מוזיקה בתחומו שיצאה לפני כן - הרדיפה אחרי כל משיצא היום יוצרת התעלמות ממשהיה קודם פשוט כי בתהליך הרדיפה אחרי מה שחדש - כל משישן זוכה להתעלמות מפאת חוסר זמן. וזו תופעת לוואי בעייתית אם תשאלו אותי |

Yeah, and with regards to that: I've asked Itay in Holland, but am also curious to hear your answer as a DJ: why do MANY DJ's usually fail to play (a bunch of) classics in their sets? I fully understand the need for freshness and a reflection of the latest productions in the sets, but why just not more of the "good ol' sound" for the raving crowds? Why is that not happening more often....a bridge too far to cross??
(Like sticking in a "Fable" track, an Armin remix, an "Active Sight/M.I.K.E. track etc.) |
