I don't think so. It was sponsored and ran by the city of Chicago. They stopped doing it a few years ago. Not sure why. |

It fell apart partially because they moved the location. Damn shame. It was cool to see families with their kids dancing among the music heads. |

That is one of my favorite aspects of electronic music, it can pretty much be enjoyed by anybody willing to let their guard down. I belive I got hooked when I first saw Richie Hawtin perform at the 2003 Detroit Taste Fest. I will never forget the vibe on the streets that night when I walked around the Fisher building after chilling out with a little Rusted Root and finding this scene. The crowd literally goes back like two or three city blocks.
