The Essential Mix is indeed the legendary show that airs late Saturday nights and is hosted by Pete Tong. It doesn't, however, just rely on the same old DJs constantly. Two of the best Essential Mixes I've heard in recent times are by Laidback Luke with a killer House set, and one from Gareth Emery on the Progressive Trance tip:

hey mate thx!

due to the effect i don't always have time to follow each and every week who's been doing the essential mix we would love it if you could give tips in the future about more recommended essentials.

last year i heard one of probably the best essentials in a while when legendary (in my opinion) Danny Howells put down an awesome set that i havent stoped listening even up until these recent days.
