Heys guys, Im new to Trance, and mixing.
I was hoping to get a sed of CD player Turntables.
I've looked all over the internet and it seems the
Pioneer Entry Level set is the most reasonable...
the CDJ-200 and DJM-400.
I was also checking out a cheaper alternative which is the Numark 494 set. This includes one of their entry-level mixers and 2 axis 4's.
I just got some tips about getting a midi controller for a first kit. Specifically the M-Audio Torq Xponent. The Price is slightly more reasonable and it seems to do everything the pioneer does but needs a computer.
This is my first kit and i want to get a decent kit without spending alot of money. Are the Pioneers worth buying?

Yes, the Pioneers are worth it. The mistake I made was buying some crappy kit to start with and it actually demotivated me from wanting to improve. When I got my cdj-200s and my djm-400, you'll want to play on them. You'll want to learn. Best of all when you're ready to upgrade, the resale value is high compared to other brands.

i have turntables and have only dabbled with cdj's a couple times so my opinion on this means nothing. but i have a feeling the people who will reply to this with first-hand experience are going to give you a resounding answer saying to go with the Pioneers

Get the pioneers, as everyone else has stated. Then when you get bored and have the spare money, get the Xponent and put it between your CDJs. You will love it :)

I have the Numarks, and they are serving me good. Dunno how they can handle if you move them alot. I play only at home. This set is good basic dj package.
