what age do you think most of you will hit (or maybe have hit?) that you start to realize that you want kids?
i'm 25 and i don't have any offspring (that i know of :nervous: ) and i'm almost starting to want some.

| I believe this is a more common phenomenon amongst women. Everyone guy I talk to says they only realized they wanted kids when they had them - that once I had kids "I'd understand" |

| i have no intention of fathering any children unless things change drastically. I'd rather have pets, they're slightly easier, but can't answer back or annoy you so much. |

troof.
its not some undying urge to have some organism growing inside me....rather, i want to be able to like nurture a child and shape and mold them (i.e.. you get to teach them to hate the things you hate! :D ) . just kidding.
seriously tho, before i'm 30, i think i'd like to have a kid. i *think*....right now i'm kinda content w/ my dog |

yea i think the whole biological clock thing only matters for women, ex: my gf keeps saying how she wants to have kids before shes 30, because she thinks her vag is gonna be on the fritz, which i think is a load of .
For me, i want to have kids, when i have traveled the world, and i have a career set, and im bringing in a steady income. :) |

also i think i'd be a dad. I don't want a kid to grow up resenting me as much as I have my parents.
And out of all the family, my auntie & uncle who've never had kids are the ones i respect most, they've travelled to over 70 countries and are so much more laid back in life and easier to talk to. |

that's my number one reason too...growing up poor, i don't want my kids to go through the same experience.
but on the other hand, i'm seeing my folks get older and older (especially my mah), and i would hate for her to pass on w/out seeing any of her grandchildren from me. she had a breast cancer scare when i was in high school...and i felt so disappointed about not having any kids at that time (even tho i was only 18) |

i'm noticing this about people in their 20s....compared to when our folks where in their 20s, all they did was pop out babies every other year or whatever.
seems like our "generation" is putting off kids until later on.
at least, on average |
