I read on another forum that there is a WipeOut HD (similar to Gran Turismo HD) and, later, Wipeout 5, but I never seen anything official on that.

I am all over this thing.. I loved Wipeout XL...It was the reason I bought a Playstation 1. This will be the reason I get a PS3.

^^^ it's always been 60 fps. ( NTSC standard 60Hz display) Now if it doesn't lag like the previous one, it might be good. Let's hope for an outstanding soundtrack though..

I think you are correct. I'm not sure if WipeOut HD is a remake, but I'm pretty sure that WipeOut HD is NOT WipeOut 5.
I'm pumped as all hell for this.
