So after getting a sizeable tax refund, i was considering buying a 360...there's a lot of games i want on it and that i will want on it. after a little consideration of getting a PS3, i realized the online service of the 360 is a little better. it's the age old question: 360 or PS3? anybody have thoughts on this
secondly, my friend heard this rumor they might be decreasing the price by 50 bucks...i did some research and the only thing i found was one article saying that they would be decreasing the price this year for sure, it's just a question of when. they also mentioned it was possible they would be packaging the HD DVD drive in the 350$ bundle. They also said if a price cut would happen, it would be around the time of the release of GTA4...
again, all of these are rumors, but has anyone heard anything? I want to get as much bang for my buck as i can |

well dont buy an HDDVD drive, although they chopped the price on that.
360 will likely be using blu ray within a year and a half.
really, its up to you. some people are company specific, but both machines have their good points and exclusives. the 360 is likely the most easily satisfying with loads of content, xbox live and what not. the ps3 will have those exclusives like GT et al that can sway someone - and the machine is plenty powerful so it has potential. the weak online aspect and less established base weakens its choice in some peoples eyes| |

| If you are going for games, at this current moment in time the 360 is your best bet. If you wanna show off your HDTV's capabilities, you may wanna consider the PS3. Oh and forget HD-DVD, even Netflix just announced blu-ray exclusivity...the format is as dead as dead now. |

Go for the PS3, its set to have a great year. Its also a true value since you get a Blue Ray drive which you can see just pretty much squashed Hd-Dvd.
and don't call me a ps3 fanboy since i do own an sexbox 360, but i regret not waiting and purchasing the ps3. |
