the answer is yes. and here is how you do it. open the .doc in word. click print. look around and you will see a button that says pdf. this will allow you to save or rather 'print' a pdf onto your comp.

no need to look any further than this. the option to save as .pdf is available in the print dialogue box of word. for clarification, thats the option screen that opens after you press print

i would also just like to say that i hate this. im sure everyone knows how to use google. the problem is that google rarely offers the optimal solution or answer.
