His DJ sets are acclaimed and his enthusiasm on the decks is unmatched. Time and time again JELO has rocked your floor, your car, your ipod and lately the charts. 2007 was a gangbuster year for JELO. Hand picked by Nelly Furtado's management to remix ‘Maneater’, JELO fused his tough drums with the pop vocalist’s hooks...The result? A remix that was licensed to several major European and American dance compilations and turned into a popular hit for yahoo ringtones! No stranger to travel, JELO has represented Toronto as an ambassador of all things hard and funky for the last decade. 2007 saw him headlining tours and mega clubs at destinations across the globe, including the world renowned Burning Man Festival. The year finished with his collaborated track “The Reward is Cheese” spending weeks in the number 1 spot on beatport.com. Today the song still remains in top 100.
Early 2008 will see a flurry of JELO music come your way. His track ‘Donkey Punch’ created with long time ally Hatiras is out now on Beatport and storming up the charts! He’s also finished a remix for Dylan Rhymes and UK label Lot49, a remix for DJ Dan and his label InStereo, and there are also original productions forthcoming on Donald Glaude’s new label! As if that wasn’t huge enough, our favorite head banging madman has confirmed gigs in Japan, Miami, New York, and two different cities in Mexico… and that’s just in March!
