PS: Chris, when is our next get-together/practice spinning day?

I'm game whenev. I have to get one of my TT's fixed b/c I think one of the tone arms is bust. I packed up the CDJ's and am putting Serato + TT's in its place for a while, so bring CD's.

I'm actually pretty busy this weekend, but definitely soon my friend.

its funny that you make so many claims about what is realistic or possible in relation to the scene in atl and how we run our events when you have never attended one!

the reason you know nothing about us is because we are UNDERGROUND.. and no that is not just a catchy term for elite partygoers. it is a literal term for the manner in which we conduct ourselves. you are fully entitled to your opinion about how our event appears in a post on a forum, as well as your opinion of the state of the electronic music scene in atlanta. but you are very wrong and if you attended one of our events you would know this.

and as for your little critique on how we chose to word our event post - for each and every cynical and sarcastic summation you gave there is a simple explanation - it is not surprising you had this much trouble understanding our post once you see your reaction to all the things you had read.

your closed mindedness regarding the atlanta scene and its limitations is very telling of the nature of your involvement in this scene.. its no wonder the rest of the scene is stagnant and/or basically dead when people think like that. we are trying to expand on the "formula" of a party and advance the level of experience and what is possible at a trance-dance event.

i dont really know you or who you are involved with or what you even do.. but you obviously have a problem with us by the way you interpretted what we are trying to do. is there any particular reason for you to be so rude and judgemental?

Atlanta Psytrance is a consciousness-pioneering organization of DJs, musicians, artists, performers, and supporters...whose mission is to cultivate the positive vibrations and healing energies of Psytrance throughout the Southeastern US.
What exactly does Psytrance heal? Good luck with your event.

That's the way to win people over -- by being a total ass.

God forbid someone asks questions about stuff that seems unusual. Perhaps you would like me to just give your $20 along with my birthday and email address because you're such a "visionary". You're right, I haven't been to any of your events. That's the exact reason why someone would ask questions or challenge some of the approaches you take.

moksa had some witty and comical comments in his rebuttal and that's perfectly cool and even encouraged. (oh my) You should take some lessons from him before you turn off the exact crowd you're trying to market to. Take some lessons from Liquified too. Devin gets flamed quite a bit from folks who way stuff like "Opera sucks, have more events at WetBar" or "I can't stand the crowd at WetBar, have more events at Opera", but you never see him go on some rant about it.

As for your comments about my close-mindedness, you obviously don't know me at all. Before you make comments like that or say "it's no wonder the rest of the scene is stagnant and/or basically dead when people think like that", perhaps you should consider that in this abyss of EDM stagnation, Ian James is performing 5 f*ing blocks from you guys on the same night at a way better venue (that I hardly consider mainstream), for lower price, I don't have to bring my own bottle, and I can just show up at the door and get in. Oh, and this venue that I allude to, it's a predominately gay club most of the time; but you're right, I'm just a close-minded hater.

You obviously don't know many people on this forum and about how we give each other all the time, especially since you just created your account to promote your event. Go you.
