Also why isn't Marcel Woods coming here? His two NA dates are Edmonton and Calgary. The only thing that makes me feel better about that is no Toronto date :haha: .
But on topic I would love to see Menno come to vancouver. |

I don't know if it's a lack of crowd support, a lack of viable venues, or the promoters fault, but yes, it seems the only way they bring anyone here who isn't a top top name (corsten, van buuren, tiesto, pvd) is through a rave, and some TAers refuse to go to raves for various reasons, one of them being the crowd that shows up for raves.
Yeah, we miss Union and their ability to not only bring in talent on their own and fill it with decent locals but to actually promote the event as well.
Andy Moor at those two club events was awesome. Never saw him at the rave, never wanted to.
There have been a few djs on my contact list that have expressed an interest in coming here, some even at a reduced rate to get their first shot or a return shot at playing here. Whatever your feelings on today's edm event crowds, they geniunely like coming here. Some of them would actually get some support too. But the promo groups I've tried contacting haven't bothered to respond to the opportunity. I don't pretend to understand the politics or reasoning behind this, or whether they are flat out too busy or just not interested, but it's just another thing to be frustrated over from a fan stand point. (And yes, I realize I am one of the poorest TAs in terms of supporting events, so take my bitching with some grain and salt). |
