This is a set from a live band based out of Chicago that I think a lot of the TA's may enjoy. They use a more traditional stage setup (Guitar, Bass, Keys, 2 guys on Percs) without too much electronic gear (no laptops etc.) to play a very, very electronic influenced set.
In my mind this should appeal to a broad number of TA's, anyone from those who like the more chill, groovy prog house, the techno kids, to the the kids who like melodic trance.
In any event, thought a few people here might enjoy it, so here you go.
Tracklist:
1. Soma
2. My Own Personal 3-Letter Word
3. Sift
4. Did Fatt
5. Suitcases & Sandwiches
6. Mikesnack
Bio:
| quote: | Lotus is a five-piece band that has creatively fused electronic dance music with instrumental post-rock for eight years. The result is an explosive live show that has made crowds get down across the U.S., Canada, and Japan. Armed with a massive light rig and one of the most energetic shows on the circuit, Lotus proves why they have become a go-to act for late night festival slots.

The other thing I guess I'll mention in here is that for those of you in Western Europe who download and enjoy this, in March Lotus will be playing 4 nights in Amsterdam for Jam in the Dam (March 17, 18, 19, 20 - http://www.jaminthedam.com).
Going to be quite a bit of fun. :)
Edit: Ian, yeah - "Soma" is probably my favorite tune in this set. Very, very chill. |

| Not to take away from the thread. But if you're into bands. I would highly suggest Tortured Soul. They do house music with a similiar setup that was mentioned. |
