All I've got to say is Random Rabbit is :eyespop:
I spent a majority of my time in there listening to what I now consider to be one of the best local talents we have. Phil K's set was boss, especially when he dropped Aril Brikha - Winter. I heard all of Rick's set downstairs which was pretty decent sans the one major technical difficulty (that actually happened again later in the night) when someone tripped over a chord to the right turntable which was playing Greece 2000.
The main thing that annoyed me was the live drumming. During Rick's set this guy kept hopping on the drum sets and drumming horribly off beat. He got thrown off twice from the drum set yet still kept coming back. Then, when the actual drummers came on for the last dj, every transition sounded like the worst cacophony of noise and trainwreck you've ever heard.
I only got to hear a teence bit of the Anthem breakdown when I was searching for people,, and I remember hearing them play Megashira other than that I didn't hear much of the F&P set whatsoever, thankfully.
Anyways, awesome night for the most part. Again, I can't say enough about how impeccable Random Rabbit was. I wish I could have met Phil K, Georgia, (and apparently Luke Chable) but Scott and I couldn't find them. Good seeing everyone anyways.

I had a good night at the event. The best parts of last night were getting to party with my friends from California, Random Rabbit, and meeting some random girl named Lauren. Chris and Tammy (friends from Cali) are on the far right in the picture above my brother posted.
Got to do some dancing, enjoyed Phil K's set, got to see Rick spin. I even had the great fortune of missing the Anthem. :tongue3

It was a long night, but well worth it. |
