Plaza of Nations, May 18th, coming are the Warp Brothers and some guy (Vinylrobber I think, or Vinylgroover or sum like that :)), tix at 35 at start but going up.

your always so negative. You obviously dont know about the scene in vancouver and all you ever do is trash people partys. So untill you can do better stop bad mouthing the people that are actually contributing to the scene.
the last couple twisted shows were really, really good. You havnt gone to any of them yet you still trash them |

Sorry SK, I take that post back. It was 3:50 in the morning when I posted it and I was half a sleep.
As for know about the Vancouver scene, what should I know? I know that the city has come down hard on parties and have made it really expensive to throw one. I know that alot of the good production companys went bankrupt. I know it costs $100,000 to rent the PNE for a party. I know that mostly all the parties have be weak because Vancouver can't afford to throw huge parties with with more than 4 huge name djs anymore.
As for twisted I bash them because at Spooky they had around 2000 people on the guest list and sold close to 4000 tix and capacity is around 4700. Dude that is totally crooked. How could you support a company like that. Yeah I know Swing kids were involed too. That is were I bash twisted. I have more than one source, and one is a security guard that worked the PNE that night. And that is why I will never go to a twisted party again.
As for TranceGate. I was just messing with people. It should be a good party and I hope to see good things from Shy bros in the future.
I am also bitter because I see all these other citys getting all this talent while we don't see too much. I am just jealous.

Man its not just you its like half the Vancouver Ta's. all you guys talk about is how much you hate the plaza, and riverside. Well guess what, those are the only two venues that are avalible to us so take what you can get.
As for spooky, man people up. EVERY promoter in vancouver has had a party go bad, thats how works here and its how works every where else in the rave scene. I just dont see how you can say that twisted partys suck when the last one you went to was in october of last year.....thats was a long ing time ago. Snce then Azim has thrown 4 VERY good partys. Twisted partys are BY FAR the most professional in Vancouver, there setup, organization, and Line ups are better then anyone else in Van. If you think about it party wise Azim has done more for this scene then anyone else in Vancouver.
And another thing the people capacity of the plaza of nations has been cut by almost 2000 people so there aint going to be anymore All headliner partys like Mixmag. This is OUR scene so support it, the more people support there local promoters the better is going to get. |
