electrixx - awesome live electro group out of berlin
speedy j - great techno, and always accompanied by a vj that will blow your mind
john dahlback - just about the only dj that can do "electro-house" right, and a great producer too

I couldn't agree with you more. I am trying to find out when and where he is playing at this years WMC festivities. He is at the top of my list of must sees.

Have you seen anything?

I literally walked out about 35 minutes into Sander's set at the LMR party. Rene smashed the place. Sander completely lost energy and couldn't regain it imo.

His essential mix is one of my favorites of the year.
samjane

Rene Amesz @ Shelborne Hotel - WMC
Paulo Mojo @ Velvet

Favorite shows:

John Digweed @ The Forum
spinning @ Ringside in Raleigh, NC
Signal Fest 2007 @ Chapel Hill (Derrick May, Stacey Pullen, and Donald Glaude?!? oh my)
Sasha & Spooky TA pre-party (good times :) )
Osunlade @ Cenci ATL
Jay Tripwire @ Lava ATL
Mark Farina @ Opera (even though my car was towed)
every Random Transitions events where people came out and had a good time :)

Worst shows:

Mark Farina @ Opera (my car was missing when I left the place! Ended up being the most expensive show yet!)

Paul Oakenfold/Hybrid/Kenneth Thomas @ Opera (Oakie sucked, and I'm still pissed at the venue for not being more clear about ticket prices)

Joshua (Iz) @ Lava (Most Lava events are great, but Iz was doing pretty badly on this night.)

every Random Transitions event where I played to an empty room :(

labels:

OM
Nite Grooves
Soul Heaven
Z Records
Atlantic Jaxx
Strictly Rhythm (welcome back!)

artists:

Samantha James (her album is one of the best of the year. Check it out!)
Young Punx ('Interplanetary' is a dancefloor BOMB!)

The :wtf: award for this year goes to Masters At Work, who are normally my fav producers and DJs. This year they put out a remix CD for "Work" which wasn't that good, and new mixes for "Love and Happiness", which was merely OK. They redeemed themselves with "Strictly MAW", which is pretty good, and Louie has been releasing a lot of mixed comps lately. Kenny has done some good remixes this year as well ("Get Down" on Strictly Rhythm comes to mind) So MAW = all over the radar quality-wise, generally not as good as before but still very good overall.
