The problem with that though is that once your 100 hours is up, they connect you permanenty automatically and start charging you for it.

So if you forget or don't notice, as soon as you go over your 100 hours, you're connected with them, and I think there's some catch where you owe them the first week's payment or summit.

I remember we went through all that with them ages ago.

When you ring up after about 90 hours saying "I don't like this, can you cut me off" they try to convince you otherwise. When you get insistent they get really pissed off and bitchy about it.

It's an OK idea if you monitor how many hours you've used and are prepared to shake them off over the phone after 90 hours of free internet, but be careful cos the crafty buggers will try and catch you out.

hehe, actually i was at skool when that happened so i was lucky to get on the chatroom as it was lol. anyways it is tru mike and they hav done it 2 all my m8s round here to :( and i cant even upgrade to cable because it aint available round here, 56k or do without.

How come you can't get cable? Are you several miles from your nearest telephone exchange thing like? I thought everywhere round here could get it :conf:

Apparently the closer you are to that, the faster your cable modem. We're about three quarters of a mile, which isn't bad. If you're 5 miles away though for example, they say it'll work out about the same speed as 56K, which isn't worth it.

There's loads of livesets I want to download but I'm at the limit of my computer's memory.

I'm going to get a cheap CD writer soon.

Apparently you can either do the complicated way and fit an internal one alongside your current one for CD-CD copying, but for just burning MP3s you can take your current CD drive out and slap the new one in.

I think I'll do the latter. External drives for the same price are .

Currently I'm having to find tunes that found their way on my computer to delete, just to fit more mp3s on. It's a pain in the rectum.

When i got me knew comp i payed for a built in CD WRITER!

I don't usually use it, maybe for the odd live set, i jus usually delete what i'm sick of or the i've got cos i have no use for CD's really as i'm a vinyl man!!
