Need commercial music recommendations

I am helping my friends in uni, and i have to play music at the xmas party next week.
i dont listen to anything that the radio plays, and my choice of music wont be good on average people's ears.
i am looking for recommendations /compilations to get and play through the night.
it doesnt need to be dance music but it would be preferred of course.

its in the uk, so i dont think soulja boi will cut it here :P

If they like umbrella and all that , get some remixes of some popular tracks. That might do it.

The Haji & Emanuel mix of Umbrella is actually awesome.

Just check out the tracklists of the latest NOW cds, watch a bit of mtv etc then just play that.

Like was said, try to get your hands on some of the newer NOW CDs, throw in some 80s/90s mainstays ("Girls Just Wanna Have Fun", "Macarena", "Love Shack", etc), then use remixes of Top40 stuff in between.

Or hire a Top40 jock that will be able to handle the event.

Either way, have fun with it, and don't forget to take a ______

Yeah, there are plenty of attention-needing producers out there who remixes pop music like Britney & co.
