GC have been like that for a while now... there has been a huge riff between the way the managment run the club and the way it happens in practise...

what i mean is that when ur there its not a commercial club, the music is top quality, and often very underground type stuff.. on the flip side of the coin simon raines is exploiting it all for tonnes of money. sickening that someone could do that to such a club but hey, this world is full of s.

there are plenty of weekly nights left in sheffield, just none of them are close to the standard we have been used to @ GC. having said that these nights have got good reputations, stuff like headcharge and hard8 will take all the business in the weeks GC isnt open.

good business sense says these half decent nights sort out a loan and get some good DJs booked for around crasher monthly time, when GC aint open, hey atrract all the old GC faithful, get popular, Gc rregulars end up goin to the other places more, GC loses its crowds. other clubs get bigger. then again with DJs crammed booking schedules i doubt that will happen, but its just a theory ;)
