DJ Tom Kuo (also know as Task within the underground circle) performs this Friday at Fukhouse Compressed. After taking almost 1.5 years off from heavy involvement in the music industry in order to concentrate further in the practice of new media arts, he is proud to mark his return back on the decks to deliver his unique blend of grooves and rhythms in the abstract dancefloor territory.
Tom is an adventurist in various forms of new media design. For his most recent project he teamed up with FITC Design &Technology Events as designer and project-manager to co-produce a brand new Digital Media Centre in Toronto. Located in Kensington market at 156 Augusta Avenue, this 3 story 5000 sq/ft building hosts Toronto's first computer art based interactive gallery (www.pixelgallery.org), a school specializing in Rich Media training (www.richmediainstitute.com), a combination of physical and digital design studios, and a store front containing awesome design, art and modern technology related books, magazines, gadgets, toys, and T-shirts (www.function13.ca).
