I pretty much never start new "review type threads about shows... but this one deserves one. THIS SHOW WAS SICK SICK SICK!!!!! he threw down some insane tracks!! great nite. f'in GROOVE.
ps. who was saying this show was "hyped"?????? i cant even find one single damn thread about it!!!!!
edit: and yet, it was one of the most packed nites @ Spy.. |

first night out in chicago and definitely one for the books. garnier was in top form last night. musta heard more than half a dozen genres in about 4 hours, spanning house, techno, prog, breaks, drum n bass, and even a bit of hip hop and reggae sounds. might not have sounded completely seamless but you could tell he had full control over the decks all night.
and the last hour was mental. place was pretty crowded but didn't seem to awful imo. mazi did a fine job opening up.
only recognized a small handful of tracks here and there:
Shlomi Aber - Crop Duster
Nic Fanciulli - Lucky Heather
Argy - Unreliable Virgin
Sasha - Park It In the Shade
everything else, who knows. definitely enjoy myself more when i dont know whats in store though. excellent time overall :) |
