Kiss My Grass

Australia’s fastest growing festival event Kiss My Grass returns Saturday January 26th 2008 at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl.

Kiss FM in conjunction with Future Entertainment presents a smorgasbord of Australian talent – boasting some 140 local DJs and 12 Live Electronic Acts – Kiss My Grass 2008 is the only way to celebrate Australia Day.

Once again Kiss My Grass will showcase the cream of Australia’s DJs, MCs and electronic music artists over seven stages. Further to this, an extended fence line will enable more space to revel in this all-Aussie electronic soundscape.

Dance to a diverse range of music genres with everything from hip hop to house, drum and bass, funk, techno, breaks, trance, electro and more.

“Kiss FM is proud to hold this event in light of the many benefits it has for the Melbourne Dance Scene and its patrons, giving all a chance to participate in an event that supports Kiss FM and that showcases our world renowned Australian dance music culture.” Tim Byrne (Station Manager)

Tickets go on sale Thursday 8th November 2007 with a limited number of discounted Early Bird tickets including a free Kiss FM membership.

Tickets are about $50 this year, available at Ticketmaster :)

Same here...almost.

KMG last year was so awesome, I was really surprised how much fun everyone had.

I think it's just the difference in atmosphere - at Summadayze every man and his dog shows up, regardless of taste in music, and with the attitude that "this is going to be the biggest in' day ever". Like new years eve, there are thousands of complete wankers out on the town who usually stay home. As a result, it's crowded and intense.

KMG...relaxed and plenty of room. No one who cares about music is stressed about who they want to "see" because we've all seen the locals millions of times; just a great vibe. I give it three years before the muzzas move in and ruin it.

This year was already not as good as the first year. I really didnt expect much and had the best day ever. I hope they make the sets a little longer this time.

Cant wait for MTC crew to play some "ING TECHNO"

i liked this year better than last year but they were both awesome for the same reasons
