After two installments of explosive musical goodness the Substance krew are back in full effect to kick off the start of the silly season… December 1st see’s all the regular Substance resident DJ’s kicking it with a few special guests thrown in to make you spin yourself sideways. Got no money ‘cause of earthcore or saving your pennies for Kryal well than this is the party in between for you cause its free and the booze is cheap! Did we mention it was free?
We welcome Julian Reynolds (5am, Interview, Vinylwarning) for his first ever set at Substance. Mr. Reynolds is one of those DJ’s in the scene whose continual commitment to the Melbourne EDM scene cannot be undone. Playing anything from hard trance to butt-cracking electro/tech his set at Substance is one you are not going to want to miss.
We also enjoy the company of Bun DMC for his first set at Substance… Responsible for organizing the much hailed Peppermint Parties as well as the Toons Alive Corp, his set is sure to raise the eyebrows of the Melbourne Massif.
Adding to that we have also secured one of melbournes finest breakbeat legends, TEE CEE. As he's usually more well known as manager for Blindside in southland, we were able to convince him to get down and provide some ever funky beats of the broken persuasion. TEE CEE was co-founder of the legendary breaks night 'Dish', and ran the now extinct breaks radio show at Street FM, smartly named 'Broken'. Needless to say he's well educated on the breakbeat sound and a guest we are VERY pleased and excited to have on board.
Our final guest Little Chris is one of the most dynamic electro DJ’s you have ever heard. Playing a consistent blend of electro and upbeat house he has been responsible for the Risque parties and has played numerous club nights all over Australia.
As usual, there will be FREE giveaways of our latest Promo CD - "The clubbers guide to ing NOTHING!", which is being mixed by Taran M and J-Slyde. Expect something very different from both!
