mostly, yes. Or at least as I remember it when prog ent. had their night there.
It's all about the liquor license I believe, it costs an extra few
bucks for a 4am close. Not sure how much extra ...
So with the 3am bar shutdown, you get an extra hour to get everybody out.
I think that's how the 4am close works ... |

It was open till 3:30 on Focus Fridays. Bar ended at 3 and the lights came on and ppl started shufflin out at 3:30.
Only on special occasions was it ever open till 4:00/4:30. |

write to city hall if your not happy with the close times.. not gonna achieve much with all the attention that gang's have been getting recently. promoters, club owners and partiers(not me i'm lazy) have been trying hard to get things changed for a LONG time to no avail because of the gang violence that happens at clubs once every year or so at clubs. those drunk retards rolling out of the roxy pissed as hell then picking fights on granville arent helping much either. |

I've pretty much accepted that that's how it is here in Vancouver, and if I don't like it I can leave :) But I love it here out west so I'll just suck it up :) I'll be in Vegas in November and back in Toronto for the holidays so I'll get my late night fix then.
But I think I started this thread because I was having such a good time and didn't want it to end, as there is not much Trance in Vancouver, so to hear some good tunes was very refreshing change from all the Electro House/psy trance I've been dancing to since I got here.
As I said before I am glad we get good Trance acts at all out here, so I'll keep my mouth shut from now on and let my jimmy legs to the talking. :) |
