Hope someone on TA can help me with this:
I have a modded PSX and a recently flip-top modified PS2. I bought the following Beatmania games at an Anime con a couple of weeks ago:
Beatmania 2nd Mix
Beatmania Append Gottamix
Beatmania Append 4th Mix
Beatmania Append Club Mix
I can get 2nd mix and the Append that comes with it to load up fine on my PSX. When I go to swap into the Append discs, the console displays a screen with a big 'no' symbol and the message "Software Terminated: Console May Have Been Modified." This is the anti-mod code on the Append Discs kicking in, and I need to find a way to get around it so I can play the games I bought :(
My PS2's Swap Magic 3 discs will NOT boot into any import PSX game, which is annoying (but at least I can play Beatmania IIDX on that system). If my PS2 could boot into the PSX imports, then I would be OK since the anti-mod check on the Append discs would go through (my PS2 has no mod chip, only its case is modded).
So, I was wondering if I could use a PSX Gameshark (in my PS2) to solve this problem? I heard that the PSX Gameshark can act as a boot disc for import PSX games. Should I get a Gameshark to try and boot the Appends up on my PS2, and which Gameshark version do I need for this to work?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. |
