| Oilers, Coyotes and Columbus, while keeping it close, won't make it. Was it Colorado or Edmonton that missed it last year by a point? The west is always nuts. Yeah you've got Buffalo in the east sitting 3 pts out (1pt before tonight's win by PHI), and yeah it's a race for first, but if you compare points, 9th place in the west is 4 pts out, while in the east, they'd be 2 pts out. Last year's race between NYI, TOR and MTL was interesting, with TOR and MTL having a game on the last night to determine who got in, and NYI leap frogged them both with its last two games. But it takes more pts to get in, in the west than it does in the east. Odd eh. |

| There's this website that calculates the chances of making the playoffs. Right now we stand at ~30%. Math sucks. |

Didn't I say earlier something along the lines of:
Well since the Canucks won't be making it, which team are you cheering for?
:D
I'm not a bandwagon fan, I'm a true fan. I'm used to be disappointed by them every day. Get rid of Naslund, give Willie the C, get a top 6 forward and anyone who doesn't want to play next year, bench them. We're not a defensive team anymore, so either you need an Anaheim team where you hit anything on skates, or you need a speedy team like Colorado. If you can't pull off a NJ/Minn, then do something else. Look at Dallas, they got Richards and have Turco and a defensive team, and they're tanking as bad as Atlanta right now. Getting a Hossa isn't going to put this team into a cup contender. I'm still cheering for them! But I'm also drinking heavily on game nights, :stongue: :haha: |
