Old Hat Repairs

Ok, not actually repairs, but does anybody know a good way to clean old hats? I've heard washing destroys them, and dishwashers don't do the trick. The one in question is one of those flexfit ones, with part wool, part nylon, etc.
I tried dry cleaners, but they refused to do it. |

Ive never had luck with cleaning them.
I just buy them knowing Ill get a couple good months out of them and then toss them. |

| I throw my flexfits in the laundry all the time. The only thing is that they're trucker-style so maybe I don't notice if it would damage the form in any way. |

They might not be able to dry clean them, but you could. |
