oops! silly me. i'm in the anjunabeats hoodie. :)
but yea... i hardly say a word when i'm at these things. but that's ONLY 'cause i find it very hard for my voice to compete w/ the loud music. & i kinda...sorta...yea. i get "into the zone" w/ the music, very much so. :o
& my ears have pretty much stopped ringing now. ;) for n.y.e., i'm gunna wear ear plugs. i don't give a damn. there's gunna be NO procrastinating or whatever this time. thank god mid terms were BEFORE dooms night; 'cause there's no way in hell that i'd be able to tolerate "eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee" while studying in silence; or @ least trying to. HAH. |

You'll never hear certain tones in that particular range ever again.
I recommend professional earplugs, made for DJ's. $100 a piece but
by buddy says it's really worth it.
Wonder if you can sue Solid for damages. Hearing loss.. hmm..
Any lawyers on here? :toothless |

hmm... i've heard great things about pricy ear plugs like that; they're pricy for a reason: they work. ;)

OK, guys. Ear health of my fellow TA's is very important to me. How high can you go?
http://www.jimmyr.com/blog/hearingloss.html
I notice some hissing even at 22KHz which is perfect, I guess... |
Sadly I drop off at about 19KHz it blends in with the slight constant ring in my ear :(
I wish I started wearing ear protection "more often" and earlier. For the last couple of years, any time I've gone to watch shows I've worn ear plugs. When I play I would take them out for my set then put them back in after. I've been using these for a while now http://www.etymotic.com/ephp/er20.aspx and they work quite well. I just started the fitting process for some custom musician plugs and am excited to try them out. |
