Sam Fraser and Nugget are joining the Tickled Pink gang this month to celebrate the fact that spring has sprung!
Considered a local veteran of the Australian dance music scene, it seems like only yesterday Sam Fraser put his first needle to the record. More than 10 years on, Sam can lay claim to maintaining some of the longest weekly club residencies of this decade, distinctively blending all forms of electronic music with major influences coming from deep house, progressive and techno.
Residencies have included Room680, One Six One and Q Sundays – the most talked about Sunday since Sean Quinn and Kasey Taylor brought Sam into the mix back in 1998. With a residency at Melbourne’s “super club”, Famous, Sam’s career has also carried him to a number of performances in the UK, New Zealand and Portugal, including a weekly residency in Lisbon throughout 2005.
Nugget is back for an encore performance since last gracing the decks as our first female ‘Fresh Set’. Since then, she has taken on gigs at Revolver, Escobar and Cushion Lounge and we are happy to have her back at the helm of our evening.
This month, ‘Sweaty Beats’ aka Andrew Hester will be taking on the fresh set, alongside TP residents Miss Chris, Elektra and Danni B spinning tunes for your listening pleasure.
