A little review of the party + some videos:
We arrived at the party at 22:30. Very nice (and big with several different areas and a restaurent) place - but the light on the dancefloor was to bright in my opinion through the various lights installed at the bar that was attached to the dancefloor. This room is also used for several other events throughout the year, so it´s not a "party location" only. But for that, the light and video installations that were brought there only for the party were really good (though I admit that the Videos were pretty annoying and strange and also have been turned off completely somewhen around 3:30 in the morning).
Anyway, Sonorous was playing the warm-up. Since we already had our warm-up during the 45 minutes drive from Dresden, his set at this moment was somewhat to relaxed for us;) So we decided to drive to Rumburk in CZ to get some of the essential things you need in life. Namely: fuel, cigarettes, something to eat:)
We came back to the party at 0:15, knowing that Kyau and Albert would start playing at 0:30. At this time Sonorous was still playing but the set was very energy loaded now and the system turned up to full loudness (I had to put in my ear plugs during the new version of "Don´t you want me" - original by Felix).
Very precisely at 0:30 Kyau and Albert started playing. Volume of the system got turned back a bit, so I could stop using my earplugs for a while and enjoy the really good quality system at a acceptable loudness level. Though the room had a very high hight, there was no disturbing reverbs or anything - very good acoustics for that room-size.
Anyhow, to make it short, the Kyau and Albert set, apart from the first 45 minutes where they mainly played (or better said ONLY PLAYED) Electro-Trance tunes (you know the usual flow: bang bang bang -> melody -> bang bang bang without melody -> end of tune), was disappointing at least to my taste. After the Electro-Trance tunes, they began to slip into the Techno-like genres and even some Minimal tunes. I was like "WTF??" and the growth also was not very motivated to dance to that stuff. Following the parties where Kyau and Albert are DJ´ing for a few years now, I have to say that this was one (again: for my taste) most bad sets I ever heard from them. Compared to Trancecentral in Budapest in 2006 where they played a 3 hours set and I couldn´t stop dancing altough I had no power anymore, this one was the exact opposite... Let´s hope this was a one-time thing and they will go back to their "roots" soon again. However, the last 15 minutes of their set were great again. Playing new versions of their known own productions (see video) and the growth was going crazy now, finally!
At 2:30 Ronski Speed came to the DJ deck and wow, one of his best sets I ever heard (ignore the guy in the video who did puke right at the start of the set - altough it looks like it´s because of the Ronski Speed set, it really was only to much alcohol;))! While he usually plays not exactly my style (to Progessive for me) he was going crazy with Uplifting/Epic Trance this time - really really really great set and the growth was dancing, jumpming, partying - that´s how I know the Euphonic Parties from the last years! Not to mention that he really only played trance, no electro stuff, pure and great + energyloaded Trance like I love it, song after song, simply amazing.
At around 4:30 after dancing all the time, the power left us and we decided to start driving home. Not to mention that the set was still great at this time, not one "bad" tune for my taste. And since the party ended at 5:00 anyway and not much people were left (but those that were still there were partying really good), we decided to leave.
All in all a mixed party with a not so good set from Kyau and Albert and a one of the best sets ever from Ronski Speed. Looking forward to the Euphonic night at the 2. October in Club 23 in Berlin and really curious to see if Kyau and Albert will repeat that style of a non-Trance set there.

| warum stehtn des Video uffm Kopp? :conf: oder war die Party so head over heels? :D |

Hi,
das Video steht nicht auf dem Kopf, gerade nochmal überprüft. Spiel mal ein anderes DIVX Video bei dir ab, das wird dann wohl auch auf dem Kopf stehen. Du müsstest mal in deine DIVX Einstellungen schauen, da gibts meistens ein "Flip Video", das wird wohl bei dir angeschaltet sein. Also einfach ausmachen.

| Eventuell schaust du ja sonst keine DIVX encodeten AVI´s? Kommt eigentlich nur bei Filmen zum Einsatz. Bei Webvideos etc. normalerweise nicht. |
