MASHTRONIC (GER)
One of the most exciting new names to emerge from the electro house scene in the last years, European bright new hopes Mashtronic make some of the most slamming club music around. Two like minded individuals whose love of electronic music brought them together - fusing elements of funk, disco, acid, electro and progressive to create a unique style of house music.
Whilst Mashtronic were already busy remixing artists such as Sonique, Dave Armstrong, Lifelike & Roman Salzger and Johnjon & Chopstick, it was their remix of Chable & Bonnici's “Ride” on Alternative Route that brought them to the attention of many. Coupled with single and EP projects on labels including SR2 (Strictly Rhythm) and the Canadian label Eyezcream, plus well received offshoot projects such as Tronic Inc and Discogloss ensured 2005 provided the foundation for what is to come.
In 2006, Mathias and Henri have launched their new labels Mashtronic Records and Restart Records have completed a series of exciting new original productions, and produced remixes for labels that include Global Underground, Boss, Data, Ministry of Sound, Flow, Nascent Recordings, Archangel, Proton Music, Oven Ready, Deeper Substance as well as the prestigious Bedrock label run by John Digweed, who himself is a huge fan of their work. Indeed their remix of his own "Warung Beach" was a recent Buzz Chart no.1. They had a massive hit with their singles "Bionic Funk" (Balance Charts no. 1) a huge bassbin` defying funker and “Needs EP” on Bedrock. Their original production “Earthquake” was a huge hit and their slamming remix of Mason`s “Exceeder” was picked up by Data and Ministry of Sound Germany.
Further Collaborations include with such acts as Phatjak, Dumb Dan, Nick Miur, Pole Folder & Can Costa. With the likes of 16 Bit Lolitas, Hernan Cattaneo, Oliver Lieb, & Australia’s own Jaytech & Mark Dynamix appearing on their record labels.
Currently their HUGE remix of Eyerer & Chopstick`s – The Haunting is doing damage around the clubs worldwide, also topping the club charts in a number of countries… Australia included!!!
Saturday October 13 sees Mashtronic touch down at Sugar, Adelaide, as they tour the nation as part of the 2007 Godskitchen Tour. |
