| And I really don't want to sound all-knowing and self-righteous but I have no doubt in my mind that someone brought up in a New York house scene has a very different take on the scene (whether it's the style of dance, or musical preferences) than someone brought up in the Miami-style house scene, or French house scene, or whatever. Just like I don't know what it felt like to go to Tresor in Berlin, someone from Berlin doesn't understand what it's like to end up at a gay-heavy afterhours in New York at 8 in the morning. It's a matter of perspective, it's a totally different scene, even though it's all rooted in EDM. |
