They are two of the freshest music makers bonded together by the defest signature styles that are shaping the sounds of today and tomorrow (and also by their super-rad work with MIA.) This will def. be a night of high voltage mayhem that will leave you buzzing super duper.
Also, this marks a special occasion for us, as it looks to be our last Friday night party @ The Mod Club. We have been throwing parties on Friday nights @ The Mod Club since we first started, and have had dozens of incredible, magical nights there. When we first started, very few people in this city knew anything of the type of music or artists we were bringing in - but from day one it caught on fire in a big way and now its morphed into a whole actual culture here that's been cool to watch it grow over the past few years..
We truly love the Mod Club - its been like our home for 2 years. When we started it was the only venue in the whole city that suited what we wanted to do (and we had very high standards after just moving back from Europe where everything is on a whole new level). At the time, Toronto seemed flat and stuck in the past and we wanted to step it up (a lot of notches!!) Now, in many ways we have grown out of the Mod Club for these parties (though we will continue to do concerts there on weekdays). We need to take things up higher as we want to really see this culture grow, and are on the verge of sersiouly taking things to a whole new level with the new club the we are involved in called Circa. Stay tuned for more on that- coming super soon!!
In the meantime- come celebrate this fun/rad/symbolic occasion with us one more time in the name of party magic with two of the freshest artists cutting up the edges of cool.
