every now and again these perfect records pop up, tracks that you geniunely wouldn't change anything about. The high contrast thread got me thinking, every now and again a record comes along and there's absolutely nothing about it you'd change
there's 5 I can think of off the top of my head
ils - no soul (high contrast remix)
the streets - it's too late (high contrast remix)
peace division - club therapy
theo parrish - falling up (carl craig remix)
the streets - weak become heroes (royksopp memory lane remix)

I'm talking about genuine pieces of art here, if anyone says gouryella they're getting a kick in the cunt

Papua New Guinea.

Although, ironically, such a perfectly balanced record has seen almost 30 remixes.

each of them is someone differents favourite
funnily enough the high contrast mix of that is ing fantastic, but i'll always bum satoshi's main path

I didn't envisagee that coming up, but it is a great record
i'd be fairly close at putting a break in the clouds and the breathe on me vocal mix onto my list thinking about it
needs more thought
Cipha Sounds
3 tracks that really stood out for me, as far as EDM goes I've never listened to anything outside of Trance and Psy/goa, I'm sure there's many Techno/minimal tracks that are great but I've never had the chance to listen. Here's a short list based on my limited EDM knowledge.

Hydra - Affinity (Ferry Corsten remix)
Algarve - Seashore (Sturmkraft remix)
Fire & Ice - Para Siempre

I wouldn't change a thing about these tracks.

When you strip aside the cynicism, this is why we'll never stop seeing remixes of classics. No matter how perfect and adored the original is, people are still going to have a crack at it, and someone is going to like the result.

Holden really made some of the most beautiful and un-definable records I've ever heard during that period.

i agree, but the thing is most people can realise a good remake with a dog remake
and there's far too many of the latter about
and neither the high contrast or satishi remakes are dog ;)
