Taking recordings/samples anywhere...

| I was wondering what I should get if I want to take a recording anywhere I happen to be in high quality??? I dunno if this is possible, but being able to get a high quality recording of a bird chirping (obviously can't get very close) would be the standard I'm looking for. |

| You don't have to be that close to a bird chirping, but what you're looking for is information on sound recording and engineering. Google that . All you really need is a good mic. |

Ok, well portability is pretty important... Out in nature, out in the city... anywhere I happen to be if I hear a sound I want to be able to record it right away.
If I can find a good mic and something to record to that fits in my pocket then that would be :toocool: |

| get a pocket tape recorder... just plug the output of it to the input of your soundcard and record it. i've done it a few times. |
