Full of charisma, and entrepreneurial spirit, the very talented and beautiful Carioca of 29 years of age is since then surprising all of us, and consolidating her position in the electronic music business. With the ability to seduce the dance floor, Mary Zander takes to the backdrop a ambience of heat and excitement. She combines her technical excellence with incredible melody sensitivity.
The new "star of the decks" always had a close connection with electronic music, participating from the beginning, of the rave parties in Brazil; informally she played lounge music at the chill outs.
In 2000, by luck or fate, she was called in the last minute to play in Rio de Janeiro in one of the biggest electronic music event at that time, the Bavaria Vibe. Being successful, the young beginner appeared in front of 2.000 people; took the crowd to the dancing runway, and made the public enchanted by her musical choice. Then, Mary Zander did not hesitate. She was overwhelmed with the ambience, driving her for good into her professional career.
Soon she was distinguished by her sets with lots of grooves (based on the house, tech house, and electro), immediately printing her name in the line up of the most famous festivals in Brazil, such as: Bavaria Vibe, Bunker-Rave, Phillips Expression, Skol Rio, Coca Cola Vibe Zone, Creamfields, Sampoerna Festival , Recife Beats among others.
One of the greatest recognition of her career took place when she was the only girl at SKOLBEATS (2005), considered the biggest electronic music festival in Latin America. Mary Zander played in the main stage, the Arena Skol Anhembi. Her DJ set was between the live of the DJs Mylo, and Faithless, the two major attractions of the event. Her performance, and her exciting set fascinated a crowd of almost 20.000 people. This is one more achievement to consolidate a position among the most famous DJs in the country.
Her quick success with the public, and media brought her music to a number of parties sponsored by Nokia, Absolut, Motorola, OI, Claro, M Chandon, Smirnoff, Vivo, Brasil Telecom, Pepsi, and Malboro. Crossing the Brazilian borders, she conquered foreign dancing runways in: Chile, Paraguay, Argentina, Austria, New York, and London.
In Paraguay she played in Asuncion at the Brahma party together with Spitfire, top DJs from Argentina; in Chile she played in Santiago at the Osklen party; in Austria, in Salzburg, at the Red bull party were Mary closed the event for 5.000 people, after David Morales's set; in England, London, she was present in the line up with the best female DJs in the world as Lisa Lashes (top 100 DJ mag), Argentina, Buenos Aires, she played at Pacha ,the most important club of south America, also in Cordoba at the party Global Sessions.
She is also increasing her presentation scope from North to South of the country. She played with top DJs such as Desyn Masiello, Lee Burridge, Sander Kleinemberg , Sasha, Tiga, Mylo, Pete Tong , Faithless, Erick Morillo, Chris Liebing , Michel De Hey, Anthony Rother, Christian Smith, Luke Fair, as well as the Brazilians Patife, Marky, Anderson Noise, Mau Mau e Renato Cohen.
Darling of the fashion world and exclusive DJ of fashion events, Mary rocked at the famous Fashion Rio. Companies like Mac, Loreal, Miss Sixty, Diesel, M officer, Osklen, Club Chocolate, Forum, Triton, Salinas, Sta Ephigênia, Replay, Nike, Reebock, and Cantão love her performance. She also signed a number of tracks for fashion shows as: Casa De Noca, Sta Ephigenia, and Salinas. Mary Zander, who makes part of the casting of renowned 3 Plus agency, closed the year of 2005 with a golden key being elected the DJ revelation of the year at the Cool Awards (a prize of great visibility in the entertainment industry), and she was nominated in the same class by the DJ Sound magazine.
In early 2006 she placed her name in the line up of the famous Sirena Carnival, and enjoyed sharing the decks with the top DJ FAT BOY SLIM! She is the new DJ resident of Warung , elected by MiXMag the 3rth best club in the world. If her incredible fast track career was not enough, Mary showed that she is not only a beautiful girl, she with no doubt conquered her space in the electronic arena.
