You'd think after six years we'd know where the fukker was already!

It's almost impossible to imagine that the US/UK intelligence agencies have no idea where he is, which suggests to me that there is some kind of complication over taking action against him (such as treading on the wrong person's foot - Pakistan?)

WASHINGTON (AFP) - The United States came close to executing in early 2005 a secret military operation to capture senior members of Al-Qaeda in Pakistan's tribal areas, The New York Times reported on its website Saturday.

But citing unnamed intelligence and military officials, the newspaper said the operation was aborted at the last minute after top administration officials decided it was too risky and could jeopardize relations with Pakistan...

actually he's been on the run for over ten years from multiple authorities. the last he was seen he was released by the Russians after 3 months of detention for his role in arming Chechyans.

he was convicted and sentenced to death in abstentia in Egypt for the slayings of 62 tourists at Luxor, Egypt in '97.

the guy is about as ty as they come, but he's got a lot of faithfull zombies like Erdega to hide him.
