Sweetchilli celebrates a huge milestone in July - when then longstanding underground party turns 8.
In a scene which is changing at an almost dizzying pace, the Sweetchilli vibe has never waivered. The parties have always been about quality music, great production and friendly faces. Where other parties have come and gone within months, only a handful have remained relevent and at the cutting edge for as long as Sweetchilli.
The celebrations will be in full swing on Friday 20th July, when the Sweetchilli team and their slavishly passionate supporters take over The Cross, above the Bourbon Hotel, for what will no doubt be another capacity Sweetchilli event........
But wait...there's more!!
The Sweetchilli team have been preparing for this event for some time and are extremely happy to announce Anthony Pappa will be headlining the birthday celebrations.
Undoubtedly one of the best dj’s in the world, this will be Pappa's 4th appearance at Sweetchilli since 2005. On each occassion, just when you thought the bar couldn't be raised anymore, Pappa has outdone himself. Quite simply, he is the most consistently brilliant DJ the Sweetchilli team have had the pleasure of hosting. And he's a nice guy to boot!
Supporting Pappa will be Sweetchilli residents and founders, Crispin Kerr & Daniel Crocetti, longstanding resident Robbie Lowe and finally Carlos Zarate, Carlos has been a revelation since joining the Sweetchilli team in 2005, both as a DJ and promoter. 8 years is a long time and he has certainly helped galvanise Crispin & Daniel with his infectious enthusiasm and unrelenting passion for what Sweetchilli is all about
