Stephane Vera is the twisted antithesis of Celine Dion. He's a wildly and widely skilled musician: he's a session musician, an electronic producer, a DJ and a remixer. He's also a piano and drum teacher at the Royal Conservatory of Music, so his musical credentials cannot be called into question. He's also got a black belt in kicking your ass, so if you question his credentials, you're toast.
Recently he's been playing keyboard for Roy Davis Jr. and working on several new musical projects, including a full length due to come out on Toronto's Nice + Smooth label. There is also a project at Ryerson University, where Stephane has the evocative title "Cognitive Music Researcher"
His set at Fukhouse Compressed will be a a mix of Ableton and live keys with a few extras thrown in, followed by a DJ set of funky tekhouse, futuristic 4/4 idm, minimal Tipper & Si Begg exclusives, oldskool Detroit & accelerated funk, Chicago Trax and a little ghettofunk.
