Hi All!
I tried the Amsterdam calendar links in your "visitors" thread, but neither is working for me. We will be travelling to Amsterdam this July from Canada & would really like to go to a house music event (club or after-hour club featuring progressive house, tribal house, or tech-house).
Does anyone know of a link for current club listings in Amsterdam or can anyone recommend a house event on any of the following dates: July 4, 5, 6, 18 & 19?
Any information would be much appreciated! Thanks. |

as far as the july 4-6 dates go, id reccomend some of the 5-days off parties at paradiso and melkweg!

i definitely want to go to melkweg on friday july 6 - more electro and minimal, but you've got onur ozer, cobblestone jazz live (theyre from canada, right?), matthew dear, and luciano vs ricardo villalobos :crazy:
also, daft punk is playing wednesday july 4, i think the show is sold out, but you might be able to find some second-hand ticket sellers on google if you look
and if you're going to be there saturday july 21, DEFINITELY check out extrema outdoor festival! probably the best house music lineup you'll hear all summer, www.extrema-outdoor.nl :eyes: :crazy: :eyes:

Thanks so much for the info. The calendar link was perfect! :)
One of the '5 days off' events sound promising... I have to admit, outside of Tiga & Richie Hawtin, I'm not familiar with any of the DJ's listed... not even Cobblestone Jazz who are from Canada! :nervous: Looks like I have some homework to do before coming to Amsterdam! :)
TheKidsWantTechno, I'll definitely let you know what events we settle on... TOTA (Toronto TA's) are well known for their hospitality to travellers & it would be amazing to meet some AMTA's (or is it HOTA's?) in our travels! :) |
