I'm pretty big into competitive gaming and Championship Gaming Series is the newest thing. For the first time ever there will be franchises, salaries for players, and general managers. This is the biggest step for professional gaming in the U.S. so far. The games are Counter-Stike:Source(what i play), Dead or Alive 4, PGR 4, and Fifa 2007. Each general manager will pick a CSS team and one player from the other games to represent their city. There are LA, San Fran, NY, Chi, Charlotte, and Dallas so far but they want to expand it to next season. The company behind CGS is DirecTV and it will be shown on their 101 station. Anyway...players salaries start out at $30,000 but have a chance to win a ton of money if they win, as much as $100,000 a season. Check it out www.thecgs.com for info. The draft is held this tuesday from the Playboy Mansion and will be streamed online.
