yea... so tomorrow ill be in vancouver, i need to get to the vancouver art gallery. they are opening an exhibit tomorrow on cyborgs (and since i am insanely obsessed with them and want to be one i am coming up)

but yea, im travelling up by myself, really dont know my way around vancouver, and i dont think you guys have a canadian version of mapquest.com or anything so im scared ill get lost :(
so, do any of you vancouver folk know how to get from south of vancouver (on 99) to the vancouver art gallery? any help would be appreciated |

| Alright Kim I can help. Head north on 99 which turns into Oak st. Follow to the you hit broadway or 12th and take a left. Take a right onto granville. Take the seymour exit, follow seymour to robson and take a left. The art gallery is by robson and howe. |

also if you want a map of the place go to www.mybc.com theres something similar to mapquest, actually, mapquest does have directions to places in canada, just have to chose canada :)

what does highly suck about that tho is that its RIGHT in the middle of downtown :/ i was hoping it would have parking but i guess ill have to pay 10 canadian to park in a lot.. hrm

so the exhibit was great.. hung out with a friend who flew in from toronto.. had a great time. walk back to the parking garage.. go to my trunk to get my cds (habit, i always put my cds in there so i get em out first thing). they arent there. hmm.
walk to my driver side door, look in.. this thing thats normally in my coin tray is on my seat. hmm.
look in the back seat. which is covered in glass.
on the seat, is a green sparkly gluestick, a piece of tagboard, and a note.
the note reads:
"this should help you start to fix the window. hopefully youll manage to get home ok, hope this doesnt ruin your trip".
my is always put in the trunk, so people have zero reason to break into my car. so, what happened (and quite obviously from the note/the fact that i literally have zero in my car), was that someone saw the american plate, so they broke into my car. and proceeded to steal 80 cds from me.. only like 7 of which were burned.. most of which are imports/limited editions/cds that i CANT replace, or download/burn. i guess it was an added bonus that they found them in the trunk, since the only other thing they could take was AMERICAN coins in the coin try. i never carry anything with me.
i dunno. i know lots of my friends have had or known people who have had their cars targeted because of the washington plates in vancouver, i know its common up there.. but jesus. my music is the most important thing ever to me. and it gets jacked just because im from teh in states?
so now, i have no music, a broken out window in my car (which i cant afford to fix because i dont have the 500 deductable in my insurance plan), glass all over my backseat that i cant even vacuum up cuz i dont have a in vacuum.. and a green sparkly gluestick.
